OSO sits inside Bear Point Harbor on Bay La Launch, a back-bay pocket off Bayou St. John that you reach by winding through a residential neighborhood — which is exactly why the Boulevard crowd never stumbles into it. Locals arrive by boat, by car, or by golf cart, and none of those feel out of place. The kitchen leans coastal with a Florida-and-Mexico bent, which around here means fish tacos next to gumbo and nobody blinking.
What to order
Grouper and fish tacos are the safe money, the gumbo holds its own, and the fried shrimp po’boy does what a po’boy should. If you want proof they’re not just running the standard beach-restaurant playbook, the White BBQ Chicken Flatbread and the BBQ Brisket Mac N Cheese are on the menu too. Oysters when you want oysters.
When to go
Open daily from 11 — until 9 most nights, 10 on Friday and Saturday. The move is a table late in the day, because the sun sets over Bay La Launch and the harbor does the rest of the work.

If you’re coming by water, that’s the whole point of the place. Tie up, eat, idle home.
