Pizza At The Pass sits in the SanRoc Cay Marina complex on Perdido Beach Boulevard in Orange Beach, on the bay side of the road a short hop from Perdido Pass. It is a casual pizza-and-beer operation, not a white-tablecloth Italian place, and that is exactly the right thing to be in a marina where half the customers just stepped off a boat. The pizzas are thin-crust, made with whole-milk buffalo mozzarella, and the menu stays short on purpose: pizza, wings, salad, a few starters, cold beer, daiquiris.
What to order
The thin-crust pizza is the reason you are here. Alongside it they do traditional and boneless wings, a Greek salad with a dressing they make in-house from scratch, and garlic cheese toast as the shareable starter. Salads and vegetables are prepped fresh daily, per the shop, which is more than a lot of beach-road pizza places can say. Daiquiris and beer cover the drinks side; nobody is pretending there is a wine list.
When to go
Sunset is the move. SanRoc Cay has plenty of outdoor seating scattered through the complex, and you can carry a pie out to a table with the marina and the boats in front of you. Takeout customers get the bonus of a playground on the property, which solves the “kids are done sitting” problem while you wait on the pizza. Peak summer evenings get busy, so ordering ahead online for pickup is the smoother play.
Good to know
Dine-in, takeout, and delivery are all on the table; delivery runs only through third-party apps, so if you want to skip the fees, pick it up yourself. Plates and utensils are available on request for takeout. After dinner the rest of the strip is right there — see Perdido Beach Boulevard, and check Orange Beach flags if tomorrow is a beach day.
