Wolf Bay is a family-owned Gulf Coast seafood restaurant that has been going since 1973. It serves fresh seafood in a welcoming, local atmosphere and offers catering as well. The Orange Beach location features live entertainment nightly in its covered bar. The original is up in Foley; this second location on Perdido Beach Boulevard brings the same menu down to the beach, which saves you the forty-minute round trip to the mothership.
What it is
Fifty-plus years in Baldwin County is a long run for a seafood house, and Wolf Bay has done it by being the place locals take visiting relatives rather than the place with the biggest sign. The menu is Gulf standards done straight: fried shrimp, gumbo, the salads that keep getting named in the Best of Baldwin awards — their site lists Best Fried Shrimp, Best Gumbo, Best Seafood Restaurant, and Best Salads for 2024. One detail worth knowing: they’ll cook your own catch, so a good day on a charter can turn into dinner without anybody standing over a condo stove.
When to go
Evenings, if you want the covered bar’s live music — local musicians rotate through the week. Lunch is calmer and quicker. Summer weekend dinner brings a wait, as it does everywhere on the boulevard.

Catering is available, and the Foley location handles private events like rehearsal dinners and reunions. Check their site for current menus. Wolf Bay itself, the body of water, is the back bay north of Orange Beach that the Foley restaurant sits on — so the name is geography, not marketing.
