Bahama Bob’s is on West Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores, technically just outside the Orange Beach line but in everyone’s mental map of the area. Beach-shack feel — picnic tables, weathered wood, no pretensions — with a menu that does the standards well and a deck that catches the Gulf wind correctly. Breakfast is the underrated move; the rest of the day is fried-seafood and grilled-fish territory.
The drink program is what it should be: tropical, frozen, strong, served in a plastic cup so you can take it onto the deck. The bar is one of those rare deck bars that feels just as good empty as packed.
Less polished than Cosmo’s or Cobalt; more polished than a tiki shack. The exact register the Gulf Coast does best.
