Emporium @ C sits in the Rouses shopping center on the Orange Beach strip, and it’s playing a different game than the souvenir barns down the road. The shop has been around since 2000 — it started life as Emporium Gifts & More — and the stock is coastal gifts, jewelry, apparel, and home decor, with a real emphasis on work by Gulf Coast artists and authors. People who actually live and work on this coastline, not a container of shell art from somewhere else.
What you’ll find
Gifts and jewelry with names attached to them, plus books by regional authors. The home decor side runs to barware, candles, coasters, flags, pillows, and signs with a beachy lean; the jewelry case covers necklaces, bracelets, anklets, and earrings; there’s a rack of coverups and beach essentials for the trip you’re on, baby and men’s apparel, spa products, cards, puzzles, and a seasonal holiday section that turns over through the year. There’s also a gameday shelf of collegiate merchandise, which in Alabama is not optional. If you want to bring something home that says Gulf Coast and was genuinely made here, this is the tier to shop at. It’s the difference between a souvenir and a keepsake.

They now cover both sides of the state line — the original Orange Beach store plus a second spot in the Villagio town center on Perdido Key. We like that arc: a local gift shop doing well enough on the Alabama side to plant a flag in Florida. Shop whichever side of the line you’re staying on. They also sell online and offer gift cards, useful when you get home and realize the one thing you didn’t buy was the one thing you wanted. It shares a parking lot with the grocery run on the Boulevard, and it’s a natural stop on any shopping loop along the strip.
