The Flora-Bama operation extends past the roadhouse: this is their marina, sitting on Ole River right behind the bar at the state line. Rent a boat here and you’re immediately on some of the prettiest protected water on the island — Ole River, the sandbars, and the back bays, with no long channel slog to get there. It’s the obvious pick if you’re staying anywhere near the line, and a reasonable one even if you’re not.
What you can rent
The pontoon fleet is brand-new 2026 Godfreys — standard 12-passenger pontoons in four- and eight-hour rentals, Monaco tritoons running 250HP in a standard layout and a sun-lounger version with the plush seating, and a slide tritoon for the crew whose kids will spend the day going off the back. Jet skis are two-rider Yamahas, rented in one-to-four-hour blocks, and the marina sits less than 100 yards from the end of the no-wake zone, so you’re riding instead of idling. Dock-and-dine works well from here — several restaurants and bars on Ole River and the back bays take boats, and the marina’s own pitch is the convenient dock access to local hotspots.
Beyond the rentals
The Bama Breeze dolphin cruise runs bay tours with a dolphin-sighting guarantee, and the Coastal Cruiser is a private charter with a captain, an onboard bathroom, and a sound system — the option for the group that wants to be on the water without anyone having to drive. Slips rent by the hour or multi-day if you brought your own boat, and licensed captains are available by request as independent contractors if you’d rather hold a drink than a wheel.
