Founded in 1984 as the first beach service in Orange Beach, Gulf Shores, and Perdido Key, Perdido Beach Service provides beach chair rentals and water sports gear along the Gulf Coast. Offerings include paddleboards and kayaks, sailing cruises, parasailing, and pontoon boat rentals, and they work all three destinations — Perdido Key on the Florida side, plus Orange Beach and Gulf Shores in Alabama. The office is on Canal Road in Orange Beach, but the business happens on the sand in front of the condos.
What you get
The core product is the chair set: two folding chairs with footrests under a commercial umbrella. If you’ve ever hauled your own umbrella through soft sand at noon and watched it cartwheel down the beach ten minutes later, you understand the appeal. Beyond chairs, they rent paddleboards and kayaks, and there’s a pontoon — a 24-foot Bentley Cruiser that carries up to twelve — for a day on the back bays. Parasailing and sky surfing run through a sister operation, and the sailing side does family adventure sails, morning and afternoon dolphin cruises, fireworks sails, and corporate outings under sail rather than on a motor boat.

Condo guests who want the beach to be easy, families with a week’s worth of gear they’d rather not pack, and anyone who wants to try a paddleboard without buying one. The sailing trips are the pick for people who’ve done the standard dolphin pontoon and want the same water with the engine off.

Reservations are online or by phone, and the parasailing and sailing pieces each have their own booking sites — check theirs for current rates.
