The Oyster Bar sits on River Road at Innerarity Point, right next to the Galvez Landing boat ramp, with its own docks on the Intracoastal — which means a meaningful share of its customers arrive by water. It’s been a local landmark long enough to rack up 480-plus reviews, and it’s one of the few spots where the back-bay side of Perdido life is the whole point instead of an afterthought.
What to order
Fresh oysters lead, as advertised. Behind them the board runs deep on Gulf fish — snapper, mahi, yellowfin tuna, whole flounder — plus gumbo, steamed shrimp, and fried platters for the traditionalists. Steaks, chicken, and pasta cover whoever in your group doesn’t do seafood, but ordering pasta at a place with “Oyster Bar” on the sign is on you.
The vibe
Waterfront and unhurried. The marina setting does the decorating: boats coming off the ramp next door, pelicans working the docks, and a sunset over the water that rivals anything on the Gulf side without the Gulf-side parking situation.
Good to know
If you’re on a boat, this is one of the easiest dock-and-dine stops on this stretch of the ICW. If you’re driving, it’s a five-minute detour off the main drag that most tourists never make — their loss.
