Yo Ho Rum & Tacos is a casual waterfront taco bar at The Wharf in Orange Beach. The menu covers tacos, burritos, and appetizers alongside rum cocktails and other drinks, with a daily happy hour. Bay views make it an easy stop while wandering The Wharf. It sits in the main retail row along Wharf Parkway, on the Intracoastal side, so you’re looking at boat traffic and the marina rather than the Gulf.
What to order
Tacos and burritos are the point, with a snacks-and-sides list that includes street corn and a Mexican pizza that turns up on the happy hour specials. The rum is the other half of the name: the cocktail list leans tropical, and pitchers are on offer for tables that plan to stay a while. It’s bar food done for a crowd that just walked out of the marina or the amphitheater, not a sit-down Mexican restaurant.
When to go
Happy hour is the obvious answer, and it runs daily, which makes this a good pre-dinner landing spot before a concert or a walk to the Ferris wheel. Late afternoon also gets you the light on the water. Check their site for current happy hour times and specials. On summer concert nights The Wharf fills up fast and every bar along the parkway backs up, so arrive early or eat somewhere else first.
Good to know
Pickup ordering is available, along with delivery through third-party apps, so you can bring tacos back to the boat or the condo.
