Gulf Coast Rental Co doesn’t have a storefront to visit, and that’s the point — it’s a delivery operation covering Orange Beach, Perdido Key, Gulf Shores, and Fort Morgan. They drop the equipment at your rental, you use it until you’re done, they haul it away. For a vacation town where half the hassle is schlepping things, the model makes sense.
What they rent
The headliners are street-legal golf carts (LSVs) — the correct way to do the short-hop errands that make up beach-week driving. Beyond that it gets eclectic: Polaris Slingshots, Jeeps and Broncos, and pontoon boats through a partner outfit, Bayside. Then there’s the unglamorous-but-essential tier — beach chairs, umbrellas, beach games and toys, and baby gear like strollers and cribs.
Good to know
The baby equipment is the sleeper service here. Grandparents hosting the grandkids, or anyone who’s flown in without a carload of gear, can outfit a condo instead of checking a crib as luggage. Everything is self-serve — they deliver and pick up, you handle setup and breakdown — which is also why the beach gear works the way it does: nobody’s coming to fold your umbrella at four o’clock, so you can stay on the sand as long as the light holds. Before you book
A golf cart is only useful if where you’re staying is golf-cart-friendly — the Boulevard corridor has side streets and condo lots where one makes sense, and stretches of four-lane highway where it doesn’t. Ask the rental office or the condo before committing. And if the boat is the plan, look at what else is on the water first — a pontoon is a great day, but so is letting someone else drive.
