Happy Harbor has been renting boats out of the Marina Road cluster since 2007, and they’ll tell you they’re the largest watersports rental company in Orange Beach — with over 50 vessels across two locations, we’re not inclined to argue. It’s family-owned and operated, and it runs like a working marina rather than a kiosk with a clipboard: a dock store, dry storage, marine service, and even marine construction sit alongside the rental counter. That matters more than it sounds. A place that maintains its own fleet in its own yard tends to hand you a boat that starts.
What you can rent
Pontoons in single and double-deck versions, plus pontoons with water slides for the crew that measures a boat day by how many times the kids went off the back. Center console boats are there for people who actually intend to fish rather than float. Jet skis rent by the session, and they run guided jet ski tours if you’d rather follow someone who already knows the water than guess at the channel markers. Paddlesports gear rounds it out. The second location operates out of Reel Surprise Marina at Sanroc Cay on Perdido Beach Blvd, which is handy if you’re staying on the beach side and don’t want to drive to Marina Road.

Marina Road puts you a short run from Perdido Pass, Robinson Island, and the sandbars — and the short run matters when you’re paying by the hour. Check the flag and conditions before you go; a pontoon on a choppy day is a long, wet afternoon, and the back bays are the smarter call when the Gulf is up.
Before you book
On summer weekends, book ahead — even a fleet this size runs out by mid-morning, and you can reserve on their site. They offer boat storage too, if you’ve brought your own and would rather not trailer it every day. The rest of the Perdido Pass marina cluster is a few hundred yards in either direction, so if they’re sold out, you’re not stranded.
