The three big names share the harbor:
- Zeke’s Landing Marina — the loudest, the most charters, the one with the restaurants and the live music
- Orange Beach Marina — the deepest fleet of bluewater boats, the one where the tournaments base
- Safe Harbor Sportsman — formerly Sportsman Marina, dense slip count, working-boat feel
If you’ve never booked a charter, this is where you go. Walk the docks in the late afternoon when the boats are coming in — captains are willing to talk, and you can pick a boat off the dock that lines up with what you actually want to fish for tomorrow. Don’t book the cheapest. Don’t book the most expensive. Book the one whose captain asks you back the right questions about what you want.
The Pass itself is a no-wake zone with serious current. Watch the boats and follow their lines. The bridge over the Pass is a moveable span — most boats clear the closed span fine, but tall ones wait for the lift. The lift operator is on Channel 9.
Sandbar Sundays happen on the bay side of the Pass when the weather’s right. If you don’t know what that is, you’ll find out.
