Orange Beach Parasail offers parasailing rides over the Gulf waters off Orange Beach, Alabama. Guests take a scenic boat ride with takeoff and landing right on the vessel, floating hundreds of feet above the turquoise water. Both flyers and along-for-the-ride observers are welcome on the roughly one-hour trips, which depart from Sportsman Marina on the bay side near Perdido Pass.

Two boats run the trips: the Fraid Knot (green) and the Dare YA Go (blue), and the names tell you the tone of the operation. You launch from and land on the back deck, so there is no swimming to a platform and no need to get wet unless you ask for a dip. Much of the hour is boat ride — out through the pass, along the beach, back — with the flight itself a portion of that, which is why the observer seats are worth it for the family member who wants the view without the harness.
