Top Gun has been selling tackle on Perdido Beach Blvd for thirty years, which on this strip of Orange Beach makes it an institution — businesses out here don’t usually get three decades unless they’re doing something right. It’s a suite in a shopping strip, not a destination superstore, and that’s the point: you’re in, rigged, and back on the road while the box stores are still counting registers.

Gulf-focused tackle for everything from the surf to offshore, with the stock leaning toward what actually gets fished here rather than what looks good on a wall. Bait is part of the deal, which is what separates a real tackle shop from a sporting-goods aisle. The staff knowledge is the real inventory — this is the kind of counter where you can say “pompano, from the beach, tomorrow morning” and walk out with a rig instead of a shrug. When to go
The doors open early, which tells you who they serve: the charter crowd and anyone else who thinks fishing starts before breakfast. If you’re headed to the Pass or the beach at first light and short a leader, this is the stop on the way rather than a detour. Midday is quieter if you want time to ask questions.

Parking is the shared strip lot, so it’s an easy in-and-out. It sits on the same stretch of Perdido Beach Boulevard as most of the condos, so for a lot of visitors it’s walkable. There’s no website we could find, so if you need something specific, stop in early in the trip rather than the morning you need it — a suite this size can’t stock everything.
